Connecting resources is vital to advancing materials technology and building job-producing industries. The Regional Materials and Manufacturing Network is a gateway – sharing tools and technical expertise to increase regional opportunities.
Wisconsin and the Midwest are home to an exciting, diverse range of materials science activities, ranging from university research to manufacturing.
Sharing the knowledge, tools and expertise that can benefit and accelerate research and industry is critical to the success of our national effort to power advances in materials science.
The Wisconsin Materials Institute (WMI) and Materials Research Science and Engineering Center at the University of Wisconsin–Madison (UW-MRSEC) are a driving force behind the Regional Materials and Manufacturing Network, which serves materials science stakeholders in Wisconsin and surrounding states.
The network’s goal is to increase opportunity, efficiency and access to important resources. Initial efforts were well received and work is underway to make the network a successful and dynamic part of the institute’s work.
